Hands-on House, Children's Museum of Lancaster recently announced a new partnership with Hempfield School District's Library Media Program. Designed to increase access to the museum for the district's students and their families, the partnership provides two family museum passes in each of the district's seven elementary school libraries for checkout.
By offering the opportunity for students to visit the Hands-on House with their families at no cost, this partnership is intended to execute the department's mission to provide resources that support the curricula being taught in classrooms. Hempfield School District's Library Media Program already provides print resources and 24/7 digital resources. The family passes for Hands-on House Museum offer interactive exhibits that illustrate some of the classroom learning elementary students have experienced.
Museum officials noted that they hope to establish more school library programs. For more information, readers may visit http://www.handsonhouse.org. To learn more about bringing museum passes to a school, readers may contact Hands-on House at info@handsonhouse.org.
