The virtual program Trains & Troops: World War II Railroads in Pennsylvania will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. During World War II, the U.S. experienced food rationing, material shortages, and travel restrictions. At the height of the war, all aspects of American life were transformed, and the railroads were no exception. The program will take a look at how World War II changed the railroad industry, how railroads aided the war effort, and the effect that railroads had on civilian life on the home front. Tickets are available by donation.
Virtual Trivia Night will be held on Friday, Nov. 20, from 7 to 9 p.m. Individuals or teams of up to eight people may participate for a fee. Participants will enjoy two hours of trivia questions in history, geography, science and technology, sports, and popular culture. The content is suitable for people of all ages. Individuals who do not have a team will be assigned to one.
