To celebrate the Extraordinary Give on Friday, Nov. 20, Milanof-Schock Library's mascot, Hermie the Bookworm, will be in Mount Joy on Main Street from 10 a.m. to noon. Hermie will stroll along with a few friends at Northwest Bank and the Chamber of Commerce, and he will wave to passing traffic. Passersby can get their photo taken with Hermie and share the ExtraGive spirit on Facebook and Instagram.
Also from 10 a.m. to noon on Nov. 20, Miss Jan will be live and in person at J.B. Hostetter & Sons, 1225 W. Main St., Mount Joy. She will present a free take-to-make STEM program, "STEM in a Sack: Aerodynamics" at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and noon in the appliance area. She will demonstrate the project, and children can take supplies with them to complete the project at home. J.B. Hostetter & Sons is a library sponsor for the ExtraGive.
