Landis Adult Day Services recently named Christy Carpenter, LPN, as its new director. In her new role, she will oversee the operations of the Eden West center, which currently serves over 50 persons and their families on the Landis Homes campus. Carpenter has worked at Landis Homes for the past 18 years, serving as Eden West manager for the past 13 years. Prior to that, she was a health care nurse in Manheim House at Landis Homes.
A graduate of Ephrata High School, Carpenter received her nursing education at the Willow Street LPN program. She has a total of 27 years of experience in long-term care.
In January, she replaced former director Faith Hoover, who began directing the program in 1997. Hoover will continue as a consultant for the Adult Day Services program.
Carpenter lives in Reamstown with her husband, Mike. Together they have three grown children and four grandchildren.
Landis Adult Day Services, an affiliate of Landis Communities, opened in 1989 and is located on the campus of Landis Homes, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz. More information is available at http://www.landisadultday.org.
