Winters Heritage House Plans Programs

Winters Heritage House Museum, 41-47 E. High St., Elizabethtown, will offer several special programs. Programs are free and open to the public, unless noted otherwise.

The Zoom series "Save the Crafts Classes" will be offered on Saturdays, Feb. 27, March 13, and March 27, from 10 a.m. to noon. Space is limited, and registration is required. The class is open to adults and children with adult assistance. The class will teach the skills of paper quilling, reverse glass painting, and Scherenschnitte (German scissors cutting). There is a nominal fee per class.

Conversation E-town will feature Jean Boal on Zoom presenting "The Social Challenge of Global Warming." The program will take place on Thursday, March 4, at 7 p.m. Participants will learn how they can combat climate change at the community level. An Heirloom Seed Swap will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 6. Individuals are invited to share their heirloom seeds with other gardeners.

A Garden Planning Workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on March 13. Participants will learn how to develop an amazing garden for spring and how to minimize work and maximize produce. Space is limited for this in-person class, and masks and social distancing will be in effect. There is a nominal fee, and registration is required by March 6.

A document shredding service will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 17. The event will be held in the back parking lot area of the museum. Shred-It will be onsite to destroy cartons and bags of personal files. Donations are requested per container.
