The Lebanon Valley Conservancy has announced its environmental scholarship competition for 2021. The Richard H. and Karen R. Light Scholarship competition is open to any graduating high school student who is a resident of the Lebanon Valley; who is a student at Lebanon Valley College or HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College; or who intends to pursue a career in the environmental sciences.
Richard and Karen Light were very active in working, teaching and fostering appreciation of the natural world in the Lebanon Valley. The scholarship established in their honor aims to help student environmentalists carry on the Lights' mission.
Application materials and more information may be obtained at http://www.TLVC.org. The submissions are due by Thursday, April 1.
Formed in 2000, The Lebanon Valley Conservancy's mission is to promote conservation of cultural, historical and natural resources through public awareness and environmental preservation. The organization works in cooperation with neighboring conservancies and trusts and state governments to protect these resources in the Lebanon Valley.
