CARE Club COVID Safety Story Time will be held on Saturday, March 6, at 10 a.m. on Zoom. Members of Hershey High School's CARE Club will present COVID safety in a fun way for elementary-age students.

Three "Connect for Your Health" virtual programs will be offered in March. These programs, funded through a grant from the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, will be presented virtually by librarians from Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. The program is for Hershey Public Library card holders. The first program, Evaluating Online Health Information, will be held on Saturday, March 6, from 11 a.m. to noon. This workshop will share what questions to ask when evaluating an online source of health information.
MedlinePlus for Online Health Information will be presented on Tuesday, March 9, from 6 to 7 p.m. Participants will learn what type of health information is available in MedlinePlus and how to navigate this resource.
Health Information in the News will take place on Saturday, March 13, from 11 a.m. to noon.
Adults are invited to view Discovering Your Patriot Ancestor with Sarah Gutmann on Monday, March 8, at 7 p.m. Attendees will learn how to verify that they have an ancestor who served in the Continental Army or contributed to its cause in the Revolutionary War.
Virtual LEGO Club, for children age 6 and older, will be available on Wednesdays, March 10 and 24, at 3:45 p.m. on Zoom. The program will include stories and videos, and participants will have the opportunity to share the creations they made to meet the week's challenge. Participants must register for the each individual session.
Bill Harley: Watch Party - Brothers and Sisters will be held on Friday, March 12, at 7 p.m. Children and families are invited to join Rita Smith, children's librarian, and Hershey Library Friends and supporters for a fundraiser music program. A portion of each ticket purchase will go directly to the Friends of the Hershey Public Library.
A One Book, One Community Book Discussion will occur on Saturday, March 13, at 2 p.m. The book selection is "The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper" by Phaedra Patrick.
A Friends program for adults, The Spanish Influenza of 1917-1918 in the Philadelphia Region, will be presented on Saturday, March 20, at 2 p.m. Mike Jesberg will share.
Families are invited to participate in Mythology Madness Trivia: Rick Riordan Style on Sunday, March 21, at 2 p.m. on Facebook Live. Library staff will help participants brush up on Greek, Norse, and Egyptian mythology.
A community blood drive will take place at the Hershey Public Library on Tuesday, March 23, from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Readers may call the Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank at 800-771-0059 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins might have to wait if there are appointments at that time. Masks are required. COVID-19 antibody testing is available with each successful blood donation. A form of ID is required to donate.
Two craft programs will be available on Saturday, March 27. Carry & Craft Kite Mosaic Edition, for children, will begin at 10 a.m., and Carry & Craft: Rock Painting Edition, for teens and adults, will occur at 11 a.m.
