Dayspring Christian Academy, 120 College Ave., Mountville, will host a Remember America Lecture Series titled "Restoring Liberty: America as a Self-Governing Nation" on Mondays, March 8 to 29, from 7 to 8 p.m. The event will have a livestream option for those unable to attend in person. The lectures will be led by Dayspring Christian Academy's headmaster, Michael Myers, and they are free and open to the public.
The first session of the series will be "Restoring America's View of History," which will provide a look at history from eternity past to eternity future. The providential view of history will be explained and examined.
"America's History Timeline: Does It Matter?" will be the second session. It will focus on America's Christian history timeline, looking for evidence that declares the works of God.
The third session is "Are There Biblical Principles in America's Founding Documents?" This session, considered the heart of the series, will examine the intent and content of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America. The biblical principles that undergird and inform both documents will be presented, along with a tool for understanding their meaning and protecting them. The short text "The Bible and the Constitution of the United States of America: A Primer of American Liberty" is strongly suggested for this session.
The fourth session is titled "America's Future in the Balance: Can Education Make a Difference?" It will discuss questions such as "What role does and should education play in the home, the church, and civil government?" and "Does a philosophy of education really matter?"
The mission of the Remember America Lecture Series is to remind Americans of their unique heritage of liberty that is founded on biblical principles. The lecture series is a ministry of Dayspring Christian Academy.
