Lancaster Mennonite School's Locust Grove Campus, 2257 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, will hold a chicken barbecue on Friday, April 30, from noon to 6 p.m. A meal will include a half-chicken, a dinner roll, a baked potato, applesauce, and a beverage. Half-chickens will also be available separately. Volunteers will be masked and complete health screenings for COVID safety and precautions.
Online presales at http://www.lancastermennonite.org/locust-grove-bbq-registration/ will close on Friday, April 16. Meals may also be purchased at the event while supplies last.
During the chicken barbecue, from 2 to 4 p.m., Lancaster Mennonite middle and high school jazz band students will showcase musical selections from artists such as Stevie Wonder, Sly and the Family Stone, Marvin Gaye, and The Beatles.
