Creative York, a nonprofit arts center located in downtown York, will host its second annual Art With Heart silent art auction, featuring 100 pieces of artwork from artists across the United States. The event will take place virtually from Thursday, April 15, at 10 a.m. to Saturday, April 24, at 9 p.m. Artwork will be available to view in person at the Kerlin Gallery, located at 10 N. Beaver St., York, although all bids must be placed at https://creativeyork.org/art-with-heart/; registration for Art With Heart is also available at this website.
Money raised from Art With Heart will support Creative York's outreach programs. Specifically, funding will be directed to creative programming for at-risk youths, including Art in the Parks and free educational gallery tours for students.
Art With Heart features pieces from artists such as Rob Evans, Kayode Malomo, and Linda Sommer. Bidding on all items starts at a set minimum amount. Additionally, participants can sponsor children's art kits; funds will provide children within the York community with a variety of supplies to explore their creativity from their own homes. Kits are distributed at various locations throughout York city. Sponsorships can be purchased at the aforementioned website.
New to the event this year is Prosecco & Cupcakes, which will be held on Saturday, April 17, and Sunday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Groups of up to 10 individuals can purchase tickets to privately tour the Art With Heart exhibit, while those 21 and up enjoy a glass of Prosecco from The Handsome Cab. Cupcakes provided by Biscotti Boy Sweets by Douglas will also be served. Tickets can be purchased at http://creativeyork.org.
