To celebrate National Shrimp Scampi Day, Senior Commons at Powder Mill will host a drive-up shrimp scampi dinner to benefit the Alzheimer's Association. Curbside pickup will be on Thursday, April 29, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Each dinner will feature shrimp scampi, a salad, breadsticks and a dessert. The cost will be a suggested donation per person. All meals must be ordered in advance; call Lainey at 717-741-0961 by Thursday, April 22.
Cash or check payment will be due at pickup. Checks should be made payable to the Alzheimer's Association.
Those who purchase a meal should drive up to the main entrance at 1775 Powder Mill Road, York, with their name in the car window, and someone will bring out their meals.
Additionally, Senior Commons at Powder Mill will offer a free virtual Caregiver Support Group meeting on April 22 at 5 p.m. The Zoom meeting is for any caregiver to a loved one living with Alzheimer's disease or dementia.
