Hershey Elite All Stars has announced that several of its teams recently advanced in competitions. The organization opened in 2019 and is in its second season.
Senior team Vortex will travel to ESPN Wide World of Sports at Disney for the Division 2 Summit Nationals on May 13 to 15. The team won its bid to this event last season when it triumphed at the Maryland Cup National Championship, but the bid had to be deferred when the championships were canceled due to COVID.
Hershey Elite's two junior teams, Fahrenheit and Riptide, will also travel to Disney in May, as they won bids to the national event this season. The national event will include hundreds of cheer teams from across the country.
Also this season, youth team Surge secured a place in the Summit Regional championships and competed virtually.
Hershey Elite will host a showcase at its facility, the Gymnastics Center of Hershey Training Academy, 211 Piper Circle, Annville, on Tuesday, May 2, at 1 and 3 p.m. A donation is requested.
