Mick and Fern Steckbeck of Lancaster celebrated their 50th anniversary on April 17 with a trip to Williamsburg, Va. They will celebrate with their family in the summer.
They were married on April 17, 1971, at Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ Church. Fern's uncles Simon Lehman Jr. and Earl Lehman officiated.
They are the parents of Andrew Steckbeck, husband of Joy of Lancaster; Dorcas Landis, wife of Marvin of Kansas City, Mo.; and Elisabeth Moyer, wife of Bryan of Lancaster. There are eight grandchildren.
Mick is employed by Kraybill Mennonite School. Fern is employed as a paraprofessional with Substitute Teacher Service and previously worked in long-term care nursing.
