Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mount Gretna, has posted several upcoming programs. Programs are free unless stated otherwise, and preregistration is required. To register, contact governordick@hotmail.com or 717-964-3808 and leave a name and phone number in case the program is canceled.
Four journaling programs will take place on select dates at 1 p.m., and participants should bring their own journal. An Introduction to Nature Journaling will take place on Saturday, May 29, and color will be available to share. On Wednesday, June 2, Nature Journaling: Pictures will help attendees explore how to draw what they are observing. Nature Journaling: Numbers, set for Thursday, June 3, is designed to help participants find numbers and patterns in nature. During Nature Journaling: "I Notice..." on Friday, June 4, attendees will learn how a simple prompt can lead to new discoveries in nature.
On Sunday, June 6, a Music on the Porch bluegrass jam will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Those in attendance should bring a lawn chair.
