Vaccination Center Update Posted

The Vaccinate Lancaster Coalition announced that the Lancaster County Community Vaccination Center will permanently close on Wednesday, June 30. This vaccination center has administered more than 225,000 COVID-19 vaccines since opening on March 10.

The center, located at the former Bon-Ton department store in Park City Center in Lancaster, is currently operating on Mondays through Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Those seeking a vaccine can schedule online at http://www.vaccinatelancaster.org, call 717-588-1020, or walk in.

Vaccinate Lancaster staff will continue to offer the option of either the one-dose Johnson & Johnson Janssen vaccine for individuals age 18 and older or the two-dose Pfizer BioNTech vaccine for individuals age 12 and older. Starting June 10, individuals who received their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine will be referred to community partners for their second-dose shot. It is recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that the second-dose Pfizer shot be administered between 21 and 42 days from the first dose.

Community members who have a second-dose Pfizer vaccine scheduled on Thursday, July 1, or later will be referred to their choice of care locations at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, Penn State Health, UPMC, or WellSpan Health.
