Eastern Lancaster County Library, 11 Chestnut Drive, New Holland, will offer a variety of activities to the public. The Summer Reading Program, themed "Tails and Tales," will continue through Saturday, Aug. 14.
Tales of Tails with ZooAmerica will be held on Monday, Aug. 2, at 10:30 a.m. outdoors at New Holland Memorial Park, located on East Jackson Street. Children age 3 and up with a caregiver will explore several books and meet some of the animals in these stories.
Adults are invited to participate in the Readers' Roundtable Book Discussion on Aug. 2 at 2 p.m. in the downstairs board room of the library. The group will discuss "The Lincoln Conspiracy: The Secret Plot to Kill America's 16th President - and Why It Failed" by Brad Meltzer and Josh Mensch.
Outdoor Preschool Story Time, for children ages 3 to 6, will take place on Tuesdays, Aug. 3, 10, and 17, at 10:30 and 11 a.m. Outdoor Toddler Thursdays, for children ages 1 to 3, will be held on Aug. 5, 12, and 19, at 10:30 and 11 a.m. Blankets are recommended for seating at both programs.
Youths ages 12 to 19 will gather via Zoom for Teen SummerZine sessions on Aug. 3 and 17 at 4 p.m.
The virtual Dungeons and Dragons Club, for youths ages 10 to 19, will meet on Aug. 5, 12, and 19 at 6 p.m. For more details and to register, email cbarrows@elancolibrary.org.
Animal Encounters With Hands-on House will be an interactive learning experience for children ages 3 to 10 and their families. It will take place on Monday, Aug. 9, at 6:30 p.m. at New Holland Memorial Park.
Hooks and Needles Yarn Craft Club, for knitters and crocheters of all ages and skill levels, will meet on Aug. 9 at 6:30 p.m.

Buckhill Sleuths' Book Discussion, for adults, will take place on Monday, Aug. 23, at 2 p.m. in the downstairs board room of the library. Attendees will discuss "The Keeper of Lost Causes: A Department Q Novel" by Jussi Adler-Olsenh.
