Canoeing Program, Full Moon Walk Posted

Lancaster County Department of Parks and Recreation will offer programs to the community. There is a per-person fee, and registration and payment are required by noon on the business day before the event. Paddle in the Park, for people age 4 and up, will be offered on Saturday, Aug. 21, at 877 Rockford Road, Lancaster, in Lancaster County Central Park. Sessions will be offered from 10 to 11 a.m., 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., and attendees may sign up for one or more time slots. After learning basic paddling strokes and receiving safety instructions on land, participants may practice their skills in a flat-water area of the Conestoga River.

People age 18 and up are invited to join in the Late Summer's Full Moon Walk on Sunday, Aug. 22, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Participants should meet at the Muhlenberg Meadow parking lot located at 548 Golf Road in Central Park. Attendees will walk in the meadow under the full moon, listening to the nighttime sounds.
