Library Plans Anniversary Celebration

Manheim Township Public Library will celebrate its building's 10th anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 25, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The public is invited to attend the festivities.

The official grand opening of the Manheim Township Public Library occurred on Sept. 13, 2010, but because of COVID-19 restrictions and safety protocols, the celebration event that was planned for Sept. 13, 2020, had to be postponed until a later date.

The upcoming event will include music from Nick DiSanto, a one-man band, as well as DJ RX. There will be visits from Cylo, the Lancaster Barnstormers' mascot, and Ryan "The Bug Man" Bridge, as well as magic from Erick Hershey. Attendees can also expect a library scavenger hunt and plenty of food options from food trucks Scoop ” Dough, Gourmet Julie's Way, Brotherly Love Scratch Kitchen and Twisted Sisters.

In addition to a full variety of family-friendly activities, games, and entertainment, attendees can participate in a silent auction where 100% of the proceeds will go to the Manheim Township Public Library Foundation to inform, educate, inspire and connect the citizens of Manheim Township and the community beyond. Some of the notable items up for bids will be a bracelet and earrings from Brent L. Miller, a framed watercolor from Tim Harkleroad, a fine art portrait session from Lara Koppmann and two tickets for the Baltimore Ravens' game against the Minnesota Vikings in Baltimore.
