The 2022 Military Child of the Year Award (MCOY) nominations are open. The annual MCOY awards recognize eight young people ages 13 to 18. All awardees have demonstrated exceptional scholarship, volunteerism, leadership, and extracurricular involvement while facing the challenges inherent to life in a military family.
Seven recipients will represent a branch of the armed forces - the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, and National Guard. The eighth award, presented by Booz Allen Hamilton, is for designing an innovative solution to a local, regional, or global challenge.
