"Read For The Record" Planned

Milanof-Schock Library, 1184 Anderson Ferry Road, Mount Joy, will participate once again in Jumpstart's annual Read for the Record (RFTR) challenge on Thursday, Oct. 28. This year, the library's Miss Jan has teamed up with Hannah Ferrara, the new head of the Donegal High School (DHS) English Department, and Frank Hawkins, of the DHS Athletic Department, to offer high school students the opportunity to take part in the annual RFTR book blitz.

The high school students and teachers will board buses on Oct. 28 to journey to Donegal Intermediate School and Donegal Primary School to read "Amy Wu and the Patchwork Dragon" by Kat Zhang to classrooms. The goal of this challenge is to join with others worldwide to break the record of reading the same book on the same day. Miss Jan will also read this book for her library story time at 10:30 a.m. on that day. A copy of the storybook will be available for checkout afterward.
