Pvt. Gabriel McGrogan, a recent graduate of Twin Valley High School, graduated from United States Army Basic Training on Sept. 9. McGrogan completed 10 weeks of physical training, field exercise and classroom instruction as a member of the 3rd Battalion, 13th Infantry Regiment, at Fort Jackson, S.C.
Following graduation, McGrogan traveled to Fort Lee, Va., for Advanced Individual Training (AIT) to develop his military occupational specialty as a wheeled vehicle mechanic. He was scheduled to graduate from AIT on Dec. 16.
