Neel Patel and Gracie Eberly have been selected as December's Seniors of the Month at Manheim Central High School. The Manheim Women's Club sponsors the Girls of the Month, and both Students of the Month are sponsored by the Rotary Club of Manheim. Seniors are chosen by the professional staff of the high school based on academic achievement, character and involvement within the school and community.
Neel Patel, 17, is the son of Jeegnesh and Shilpaben Patel of Lititz. He is co-president of the Inclusion and Diversity Club, which he founded. He is also a member of National Honor Society, National German Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, Rho Kappa, Interact, Amnesty International, and other groups. He plans to attend college to major in business. Eventually, Neel would like to intern or work at a nonprofit organization, especially one that advocates for diversity in education.
Gracie Eberly, 17, is the daughter of Ryan Eberly of Manheim and Julie Eberly of Myerstown. She has consistently received highest honors throughout high school. In her spare time, she helps at horse shows. After graduation, Gracie plans to attend Liberty University to earn a bachelor's degree in aviation/airport management. She hopes to follow in the footsteps of her grandfather and become the next director of the Lancaster Airport.
