The Glance at Romance Book Sale will run through Monday, Feb. 14, while supplies last. Visitors may purchase a decorated bag of eight paperback books for a nominal cost while supplies last.
Tiny Art Show Take & Make Kits will be available for 6-year-olds through adults through Tuesday, Feb. 15, while supplies last. Completed artwork should be returned to the library by Feb. 15 to be included in the Tiny Art Show. Pieces will be on display in the library during March and available to pick up in April.
Children may stop at the library through Feb. 14 to receive a Valentine's Day card from the library.
"Budding Bookworms" Preschool Story Time with Miss Maribeth will be offered on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in the library.
Wonderful Winter Wednesday Wonderbooks invites children to stop by the library every Wednesday to try one of the new Wonderbooks and Launchpads.
Friday Friends Playtime will take place on Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon.
Turntable Tales will feature Miss Jess offering a record player experience on Mondays at 10 a.m. Children ages 2 to 5 will follow along to a classic Disney story followed by fun activities.
An American Girl bag pickup will be held in the lobby on Monday, Feb. 7, with Lego Creation bag pickup in the lobby on Monday, Feb. 14. Bags will be available while supplies last. Only one bag per family is requested.
The Genealogy Group for older students and adults will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 8, at the library. This group will hold discussions, engage in research help, or enjoy short talks from genealogy researcher Ken McCrea.
Tech Q&A programs will be offered on Wednesdays, Feb. 9 and March 9. Patrons may schedule a half-hour session between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. on either day to have their technology questions answered one-on-one by a librarian. To schedule a time slot, call 717-484-4200 and provide a name, phone number, and the device being used. Public laptops will also be available.
Hugs and Hijinks with Hank will take place on Thursdays, Feb. 10 and 24, from 3 to 4 p.m. Hank the Bulldog will visit the library and offer an opportunity to read or play.
STEM: Exploring Colors & Circuits will be held on Feb. 14 as a drop-in from noon to 6 p.m. in the library. Prekindergartners will do a mixing colors activity, and kindergartners through 12th-graders will focus on paper circuits and squishy circuits. An adult must accompany children under age 8.
Almost Perfect Crimes will take place on Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. Due to some graphic content, the program is open to teens and adults. Upon registration, participants will receive the Zoom link and the Mini Murder Mystery Story. Additional clues and evidence will be revealed during the meeting as participants try to solve the crime together.
Teen Take & Make packet pickup will be held on Monday, Feb. 21, while supplies last. Supplies are limited.
An Early Intervention specialist will visit during story time on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 10 a.m. The specialist from the Lancaster County Behavioral Health and Developmental Services will be on hand to answer questions and talk about Early Intervention and the free evaluations and resources available to children from birth to age 5.
A winter sports-themed I SPY Window Game will take place all month. The list of items changes weekly. Visitors may stop in at the library to spot all the fun things on the window, then come inside for a congratulatory sticker.
