Committee Seeks Candidates

The Republican Committee of Lancaster County (RCLC) will begin its endorsement and straw poll process as outlined in the RCLC bylaws.

Formal letters of intent for candidates seeking the endorsement of the committee must be received by the Republican headquarters no later than Feb. 9 at 5 p.m. Letters may be emailed to contact@GOPLancaster.com, or readers may contact 717-392-4165 or the aforementioned email address for more information.

The straw poll for all area committees will take place on Saturday, Feb. 12.

The county endorsement convention date is pending the finalization of petitioning dates. Committee members and candidates will be notified of times and locations for the straw poll and endorsement convention when confirmed.

Unless otherwise decided by the courts or legislature, the RCLC will proceed in the endorsement process with the preliminary U.S. Congress, Pennsylvania Senate and Pennsylvania House of Representatives maps.

Letters of intent will be accepted for Congressional District 11; Pennsylvania Senate Districts 36 and 48; Pennsylvania House of Representative Districts 37, 41, 43, 50, 96, 97, 98, 99 and 100; and the Republican State Committee. For the State Committee, the RCLC will endorse and elect eight females, seven males and one person of either gender from Lancaster city.
