A trip to New York City will be offered on Saturday, April 23. Participants will be free to enjoy shops, museums, restaurants, theaters, and more. Departure will take place at 7 a.m. from the parking lot at Elizabethtown Area High School (EAHS), 800 E. High St., Elizabethtown.
The Elizabethtown Area Youth Soccer Program will be offered to girls and boys in grades one to three. The program is designed to be instructional as well as provide opportunities to participate in low-competitive soccer games. The program will operate on Saturdays, April 16 to May 21, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The fee will include a T-shirt. Participants will play on Field No. 3 at EAHS.
The Iddy Biddy Soccer Program for children ages 3 to 5 will be held for one hour on Saturdays, April 16 to May 21. Coaches will teach basic soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, and trapping. Class A will meet at 9 a.m., followed by Class B at 10 a.m. The fee will include a T-shirt. Shin guards are recommended, and cleats are optional. Participants will play on Field No. 2 at EAHS.
A Men's Slow Pitch Softball League will begin on Wednesday, June 1, at the Elizabethtown Area Community Park softball field. There is a maximum of 20 players per team with a 10-player minimum. A team roster and registration fee must be submitted by Friday, May 20. The league will include 15 games followed by playoffs. Games will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays through August. In addition to the registration fee, teams will be responsible for paying umpires for each game.
