Kreutz Creek Posts Calendar

Kreutz Creek Library, 66 Walnut Springs Road, York, will offer programs and services to the community. Many programs will be offered virtually. Registration is required. For details and registration, visit http://www.yorklibraries.org.

The library will be open for browsing. Masks are recommended, and all staff and volunteers will wear masks to ensure the safety of visitors.

Three story time programs will be held. Babies and Toddlers Live Story Time on Zoom will be offered on Monday, March 7, at 10 a.m. and is designed for children from birth to age 2. Preschool Story Time Live on Zoom will take place on Wednesday, March 9, at 10 a.m. for children ages 2 to 5. A live Bedtime Story Time will be held from 6:30 to 7 p.m. on March 7 via Zoom.

Monthly Grab & Go Activities for kids ages 3 to 8 will be available for pickup from the library. The STEAM project is a March-themed craft.

Virtual Leap Into Science will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, for children in kindergarten through grade five. March's theme will be "Symbiosis: Relationships in Nature."

Virtual Tween Programs for youths ages 9 to 12 will be offered on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. The Danger Club will meet on Tuesday, March 8, and the Library Squad will gather on Tuesday, March 22.

Spoiler Alert! A Teen Book Review Group, open to teens ages 13 to 18, will meet via Zoom from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15. The group reads teen books and then posts reviews on Instagram and YouTube.

The Friends of Kreutz Creek Library Branch Support Group will gather at 5:30 p.m. on March 22. Members will gather to exchange ideas for fundraising events and to raise awareness of the library in the community.

The One Book, One Community (OBOC) Book Discussion - "The Life We Bury" by Allen Eskens will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 24. A staff member will lead the discussion in the library's conference room. Copies of the book are available in a variety of options from the library.

Author Scott Mingus will highlight findings from his newly published book, "A Carnival of Grief, The Lincoln Funeral Train in Pennsylvania," on Monday, March 28, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link for this virtual program.

The March Mystery at the Library, a virtual author event, will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30. The program will feature "The Summoning" by J.P. Smith and a book discussion with the author.
