Lancaster2040 Summit Slated

Mar 31, 2022 - 8:00 am

Tenfold and the Coalition for Smart Growth will co-host the inaugural Lancaster2040: Thinking Beyond Boundaries Summit. The event will be held on from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, at Ware Center, 42 N. Prince St., Lancaster.

The Summit, originally planned for 2020, will complement Lancaster County's comprehensive plan, Places2040, by exploring how diverse county stakeholders can work together to tackle pressing county issues such as quality affordable housing, transportation, environmental preservation, water quality, zoning, poverty, political polarization, and more. Dr. Daniel Wubah, president of Millersville University, will deliver the summit keynote address.

Sessions will be hosted by a broad array of government, nonprofit, business, and neighborhood leaders under the banner of "Thinking Beyond Boundaries." Each session will highlight existing projects or explore strategies for overcoming the physical, political, and ideological boundaries that may threaten progress.

Tickets and more details are available at http://www.places2040summit.com. The cost includes a bagged lunch. For additional information, contact info@places2040summit.com or Matt Johnson at 717-341-1255 or thetweedswede@gmail.com.
