Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mount Gretna, will offer two special events. Programs are open to the public, but preregistration is required by contacting 717-964-3808 or governordick@hotmail.com and providing a name and phone number. Attendees should meet at the Environmental Center.
"This Bud's for You" Tree Identification Walk will step off at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 26. Participants will learn to identify trees by their buds, bark, and branching. A fee applies.
Golden Eagle Hikers will host a 2- to 3-mile hike at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 27. The program is open to individuals over age 50 and will include trails that are rocky and hilly.
