This Easter, Pequea Church, 5482 Old Philadelphia Pike, Gap, will host a series of Easter worship services in addition to its annual family Easter celebration. The worship series will walk attendees through "The Characters of the Cross." The series that will feature Mark's account of the events leading to Christ's crucifixion through the eyes of the individuals who lived them. Seven local pastors will present 10-minute messages from these characters' points of view. The service on Good Friday, April 15, will begin at noon and include Mount Airy E.C., Limeville United Methodist, and Pequea Presbyterian churches.
Services on Easter Sunday, April 17, will begin at 7 a.m. with an outdoor sunrise service followed by brunch. A service will also be held at 9 a.m.
The church will host its annual family Easter celebration on Friday, April 8, at 6:30 p.m. The event will begin with a lesson about Easter followed by an Easter egg hunt for children age 3 through sixth grade. At the conclusion of the egg hunt, all are welcome to stay for an indoor Community Movie Night featuring Disney's "Tangled" and free refreshments. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held on Saturday, April 9.
