Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church, 1199 Valley Road, Quarryville, will host a community meal on Saturday, April 9, at 5 p.m. The buffet-style supper will feature ham slices, applesauce, pineapple sauce, red potatoes served with butter and parsley, corn and green beans, rolls with butter, and cupcakes. Water and coffee will be available.
A variety of activities are planned for Easter Sunday, April 17, starting with the sunrise service at 7 a.m. Afterward, church members will ring the bell for loved ones who cannot be present. From 7:30 to 10 a.m., the church will serve a breakfast of sausage gravy, toast, eggs made to order, homefries and bacon. Hot and cold drinks will be available.
Adult Easter egg hunts will take place beginning at 7:30 a.m. At 9 a.m., the church will offer kids' activities, including an Easter egg hunt, an egg coloring contest and a movie. Pastor John will speak for 10 to 12 minutes.
