Freedom Life Church invites families to an Easter Eggstravaganza to be held at its main campus, located at 447 Noble Road, Christiana, on Saturday, April 16, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Children age 5 and younger will have the opportunity to enjoy inflatables; pet furry animals, including bunnies; and play games. There will also be a candy scramble and an Easter egg hunt. There is no cost to participate.
Upon arrival, families will be asked to stop by the registration tent to check in and pick up a bag. The bag will contain information about upcoming church activities, and it can also be used to gather eggs and candy. Children may also bring their own baskets from home.
"There will be concessions, a moon bounce, face painting and a balloon station," noted Gina Turk, who is the director of FL Kids, the program for infants, preschoolers and elementary school students at Freedom Life Church. "There will be a reptile company that is coming to do a show and fun games." Local fire departments, including Christiana Fire Company, will bring fire trucks to display.
The Easter egg hunt and candy scramble will be divided into two age groups: preschool and elementary school students up to age 5 and kindergarten through fifth-grade students.
"This is one of our favorite days of the year," said Turk. "It's so wonderful to see families attending together and to see all of their smiles. It's the perfect way to capture adorable pictures and make it a day to remember."
In the event of rain, the Easter Eggstravaganza will be moved indoors. For more information and to register, visit http://www.freedom.life/upcoming-events.
