Veterans' Pension Program Posted

The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) reminds veterans across the commonwealth of its Amputee and Paralyzed Veterans Pension Program. Eligible Pennsylvania veterans may qualify to receive a pension.

Veterans must have served in the military honorably, have been residents of Pennsylvania upon entering the military, have experienced a service-connected injury or incurred a disease resulting in the loss or loss of use of two or more extremities (arms, hands, legs or feet), and have at least a 40% disability compensation rating or higher in each limb as determined and certified by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Additional criteria exist.

To apply, veterans should contact the Veterans Affairs director in their county of residence. A complete list of county directors and their contact information can be found by visiting http://www.dmva.pa.gov and clicking on Contact Your County Director. More information about the DMVA Amputee and Paralyzed Veterans Pension Program can also be found on the aforementioned website.
