All children ages 7 to 11 and their parents or guardians are invited to participate in the HighHOPES Miniature Horse Challenge at Capital Area Therapeutic Riding Association (CATRA), Station Road, Grantville, on Saturday, May 7, from 9 to 11 a.m.
The course is designed to promote healthy choices, effective communication skills, problem-solving and volunteerism using equine-assisted (horse-assisted) learning. Children will experience hands-on, fun activities, while learning proper horse grooming and handling. Participants will not ride horses during this program.
