Chelsea Gallo will return to the podium of the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra (LSO), this time as its fourth and final music director finalist. Gallo will conduct a Masterworks program of her own design, titled "Earthbound." The program includes Aaron Copland's "Appalachian Spring Suite," Samuel Barber's "Knoxville: Summer of 1915," and Brahms' Symphony No. 2.
Performances will take place on Friday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 7, at 3 and 8 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 140 E. Orange St., Lancaster. These performances will be preceded by a free lecture. A pay-what-you-can performance will take place on Thursday, May 5, at 7 p.m. as part of the LSO's Neighborhood Series.
