In celebration of Earth Week, Saturday, April 16, to Friday, April 22, the Derry Township Climate Change Advisory Committee will hold a "Spotlight on Community Stewardship" on Tuesday, April 19, at 6:30 p.m. The community event will take place in room 1 at the Hershey Public Library, 701 Cocoa Ave. Alternately, a Zoom option is available by emailing HersheyClimateAction@gmail.com.
Russell Collins, past president of the Doc Fritchey Chapter of Trout Unlimited, and Christine Drexler, president and founder of Cocoa Packs, will discuss the work their organizations are doing for sustainability in the community. Drexler's topic will be "Fighting Hunger Locally With Food Rescue," and Collins' topic will be "Spring Creek Watershed Restoration."
