Library Posts Programs

Preschool Story Time will be offered on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Topics will include weather, birds, and the Pout-Pout Fish. Hank the Health Hero will be the special guest at story time on May 18. No reservations are necessary. Parents must accompany their children.

An art class for children will be held on Saturday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to noon. A local artist will lead a discussion and demonstration about Audubon's birds and garden flowers. Participants will be invited to draw as they listen.

Knit and Natter, a fiber arts group, will meet on Tuesday, May 24, at 1:30 p.m. to work on individuals projects and socialize. This group is open to crafters of all skills levels, including beginners.

The library bunny will visit the Children's Corner at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24. Young patrons may read to the bunny.

Lego Club will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 26. The library will supply the Lego building materials.

The Summer Reading Program will take place from Saturday, June 4, through Saturday, Aug. 13. This year's theme is "Oceans of Possibilities." The program is open to children from birth to age 19, and materials may be picked up at the library. More information will be available from the library and http://www.lancasterlibraries.org.

The Read Moore Bookstore is open on weekdays from 1 to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. The May specials include DVDs and CDs and books by James Patterson and David Baldacci.
