A free screening of "Hairspray" will be offered on Friday, May 13, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The screening will be held in the Capital Blue Cross Theatre. Admission is free, but preregistration is required at http://givebutter.com/CPCHairspray.
On Saturday, May 14, the Petapalooza will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Quad on campus. The free event will feature adoptable homeless animals from shelters and rescues in the central Pennsylvania area. Admission is free. Food trucks and vendors will also be available.
A Memorial Day ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, at the ATEC Building on campus. Col. Richard B. Johnson, formerly of the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, will speak on the history and importance of Memorial Day. Following the presentation, students and employees will plant 100 miniature U.S. flags around the ATEC building.
The second annual Harrisburg Taco and Margarita Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 11. The event will feature area restaurants, food trucks, and carts serving up a variety of tacos and related food items. There is an admission fee, and food and beverages require an additional purchase.
