Early registration for the York County Libraries' "Oceans of Possibilities" SummerQuest program will start Sunday, May 15. To register, visit https://summerquest.yorklibraries.org.
The annual summer learning program features programs for children and teens from birth to age 18. Participation is free with a library card. Individuals may sign up for a library card at http://www.yorklibraries.org at no charge. Each child needs his or her own library card to track individual progress.
SummerQuest will begin on Wednesday, June 1; this will be the first day to pick up a registration packet at local libraries and to start logging reading and activity minutes. Along the way, participants can earn a variety of prizes, including one free admission to the York State Fair and a ticket to a York Revolution game. Participants are encouraged to reach 800 minutes to receive all available prizes and incentives for reaching reading and activity goals.
One of the first events is the SummerQuest kickoff on Saturday, June 4, at 10 a.m. The kickoff will be held simultaneously at three locations, including Kreutz Creek Library, 66 Walnut Springs Road, York (Hellam Township).
