Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mount Gretna, will offer two special events. Programs are open to the public, but preregistration is required by contacting 717-964-3808 or governordick@hotmail.com and providing a name and phone number. Attendees should meet at the Environmental Center.
A celebration of Snoop the Snake's seventh birthday will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 2. The party will feature story time, snake facts, a craft, and cupcakes.
A Music on the Porch bluegrass jam will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 3. Attendees are invited to bring a stringed instrument and a lawn chair.
