Jul 14, 2019 - 11:00 am

The Lancaster Chapter of the Compassionate Friends invites bereaved parents, siblings, relatives, and friends to participate in the 16th Walk to Remember on Sunday, July 14, at Park City Mall. The walk is held in memory of all children who have died.

Walkers will meet at 10:45 a.m. outside the lower level entrance of Kohl's for the 1.5-mile stroll, which will begin at 11 a.m. There is no cost to participate.

The Compassionate Friends organization is a self-help bereavement organization that offers friendship and understanding to families that have experienced the death of a child of any age. Individuals do not need to be members of the group to participate in the walk.

To sign up for the walk and for more information, readers may call LaVon Harnish at 717-653-8220. Those who cannot attend but would like to have a child remembered during the walk may call Harnish, and a silk butterfly with the child's name will be carried in his or her memory.
