Luminate Lancaster, an annual fundraiser to benefit the Pregnancy and Postpartum Mental Health of Lancaster County Fund at LOHF (Lancaster Osteopathic Health Foundation), will be held on Saturday, June 29, from 10 a.m. to noon. The family-friendly hike will begin at Pavilion 32 in Buchmiller Park, 60 Buchmiller Park Drive, Lancaster.
The Pregnancy and Postpartum Mental Health of Lancaster County Fund will be used to provide financial assistance to women experiencing a perinatal mood disorder to seek counseling services that they otherwise would not be able to afford; to provide postpartum doula support services to women experiencing a perinatal mood disorder who otherwise would not be able to afford the services; and to train medical providers, including but not limited to family doctors, pediatricians, mental health professionals, OB/GYNs, doulas, childbirth educators, nurses, midwives, lactations consultants, and others, to screen and treat pregnant and postpartum women for mood disorders.
All are welcome to participate. There is no fee to participate, but participants are encouraged to join in fundraising at http://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/luminate2019. Registration is not required, but it is requested by searching for "Luminate Lancaster" on Facebook.
