Dauphin County's baby boomers, seniors and caregivers joined community businesses and organizations on July 15 for the 21st annual Dauphin County 50plus EXPO, held at the Hershey Lodge.
The free, one-day event, which provided information and resources for the area's 50-plus community, was co-hosted by OLP Events and the Dauphin County Area Agency on Aging.
Like many public events, the 50plus EXPO was originally slated to be held this spring but was rescheduled in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to COVID-19, appropriate safety measures were in place to ensure the welfare of guests, exhibitors and staff members, including extensive cleaning, face masks required for all guests and exhibitors and hand sanitizer stations available throughout the event space.
EXPO guests spoke with exhibitors about products and services in travel, housing, medical services, nutrition, home improvements, finances, health care and more.
Many guests also took advantage of a free hearing screening.
Sponsors for the 2020 Dauphin County 50plus EXPO were 50plus LIFE, Bath Fitter, BusinessWoman magazine, Highmark Blue Shield, Homeland Center & Homeland at Home, Madden Physical Therapy, Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania and WHTM abc27.
OLP Events' next 50plus EXPOs will be on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Spooky Nook Sports, 2913 Spooky Nook Road, Manheim; Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the York Expo Center, 334 Carlisle Ave., York; and Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Carlisle Expo Center, 100 K St., Carlisle.
