The Belmont Theatre may not be open again until 2021, but the public is invited to attend "A Virtual Stage Fright," featuring an array of ghost stories from the York area and beyond. The virtual program will be available to view at http://www.thebelmont.org at 7:30 p.m. from Friday, Oct. 23, through Sunday, Nov. 1.
The entertainment will be performed on the Belmont stage by actress Charlotte Flynn Michalski and Rene Staub, artistic director at the Belmont Theatre. They will read stories based on local folklore with a prologue and introductions to the stories written by Staub. The presentation will include stories from The Belmont Theatre itself, York, Wrightsville, Stewartstown, Abbottstown, Hanover, Gettysburg, and surrounding areas.
The presentation will be free to view, but viewers are encouraged to click the Donate Now button at http://www.thebelmont.org or call the theater at 717-854-5715 to learn how to donate by mail.
