Cartoonist, author and educator Jessica Abel, who is serving as York College's writer-in-residence, will present "Telling Tales" at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, in York College's DeMeester Recital Hall, Wolf Hall. The college is located at 441 Country Club Road, York.
Abel is the author of "Growing Gills: How to Find Creative Focus When You're Drowning in Your Daily Life"; the graphic novel "La Perdida," winner of the 2002 "Best New Series" Harvey Award; "Trish Trash: Rollergirl of Mars"; and two collections of stories from her omnibus comic book "Artbabe." She chairs the illustration program at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA).
The event will be followed by a question-and-answer session. The event is free and open to the public.
