Art With Recyclables and Nature Camp will be held on Monday to Friday, July 12 to 16, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Elizabethtown Park, pavilion 2, 1 Ken Lane. Children in grades one to seven will repurpose recycled material and items found on nature walks.
Fun With Yarn will be offered at the Elizabethtown Area Senior Center, 70 S. Poplar St., on Mondays, July 12 to Aug. 9, from 6 to 7 p.m. for children ages 7 to 12 and from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. for people age 18 and up. There will be no classes on Aug. 2. Children will make a variety of summertime creations. Adults will create a Fourth of July wreath, birds and more.
GEARS will offer a boys' volleyball camp for seventh- through 12th-graders on Monday to Thursday, July 19 to 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the gym at Mount Calvary Christian School, 629 Holly St., Elizabethtown. Elizabethtown Area High School (EAHS) varsity coach Lamar Fahnestock will lead. Participants should wear sneakers. A T-shirt is included in the fee.
A soccer camp for boys and girls in grades four to six will be held on July 19 to 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at soccer field 2 at EAHS, 600 E. High St., Elizabethtown. EAHS girls' varsity soccer coach Mark Brown will lead with the help of EAHS soccer players. A T-shirt is included in the fee.
A Pokemon Camp for youths ages 6 to 13 will be available on Monday to Friday, June 21 to 25, or Monday to Friday, July 26 to 30, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at pavilion 2 in Elizabethtown Park. Participants will explore the science and technology behind Pokemon and play the card game.
Youths ages 7 to 14 are invited to participate in a Snapology Robot Challenge Camp on Monday to Friday, June 28 to July 2, from 1 to 4 p.m. at pavilion 2 in Elizabethtown Park. Students will learn engineering strategies and building techniques to use robots to complete missions using remote controls.
A trip to the Poconos will be offered on Wednesday, Sept. 29. Participants will depart at 7 a.m. from the parking lot of MoviE-town, 700 N. Hanover St., Elizabethtown. Activities will include a fall foliage ride on the Stourbridge Line, a visit to the lakeside resort Silver Birches for lunch and a "Motown Madness" show.
A trip to the Philadelphia Zoo and the Adventure Aquarium will be held on Friday, June 25. The bus will depart from the EAHS parking lot at 8:30 a.m.
