Community REACH Inc. is open to minister to people in need in the community. However, instead of guests entering the facility, due to social distancing restrictions, all distributions from the pantry will be made curbside. New clients are being received, and people in need are encouraged to call the agency to arrange for an intake assessment at 717-244-6934.
Because schools are closed, the agency has temporarily suspended the weekend backpack program which provides supplemental nutrition for children and youths. As soon as possible, this program will resume.
There are some things that congregations and other members of the community can do to support Community REACH Inc. during this time. People can pray for the protection of staff and volunteers, whose work is essential and life-sustaining. People can also support Community REACH Inc. through financial contributions by visiting http://www.commreach.org.
For the safety of all staff, volunteers, and agency guests, food donations will not be accepted at this time due to the coronavirus. All food given away is either purchased or donated through the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and other wholesale outlets.
