Agriculture Week Planned

The sixth annual Lancaster County Agriculture Week will take place from Monday to Friday, Oct. 5 to 9. Agriculture Week celebrates the impact that agriculture and the food industry have on Lancaster County's heritage, modern future, food choices, careers, economy, environment, and more. Hosted by the Lancaster County Agriculture Council, this year's event has the theme "Always Essential: Strengthening Lancaster County Agriculture After COVID-19."

This year, Agriculture Week will offer assorted timely, interactive virtual events designed for parents, consumers, farmers, and the agribusiness community. Topics will range from an agriculture literacy project including a curriculum used by the North Museum and the Agriculture Council, COVID-19 relief assistance programs available for farmers, lessons learned by farmers during the pandemic and how this knowledge might be beneficial for consumers, and supply chain disruptions in different commodities and lessons learned by the food industry.
