Alliance Completes Beautification Project

Campbelltown Community Alliance (CCA) recently completed the Forge Road Roundabout Beautification Project. The roundabout at Forge Road and Northside Drive in Campbelltown has been transformed from a large and weedy patch of grass to native plantings with a river stone border.

The project was approved by PennDOT, and much preparation work had to be undertaken as well as funds raised.

Financial contributions were made by local businesses, Palmyra Garden Club, CCA members, and GoFundMe contributors. Good's Tree Care helped provide wood chips for mulching and the neighboring Community Bible Church is providing water.

While members worked in the roundabout, passing motorists gave signs of their approval. The CCA project became a community-wide activity.

Tasks continued throughout the summer, including regular watering and weeding. The plan was to add other native plants, as well.
