Uwchlan Ambulance Corps (UAC) recently received a $30,000 donation from Capitol Seniors Housing (CSH). Founded in 1974, UAC serves eight townships, providing lifesaving emergency care to over 65,000 residents. UAC has five ambulances, three responder units, and paramedics and EMTs who are available to respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day.
The donation will help the organization purchase life-saving equipment needed to keep up with the demands of the growing community. Kathi Cozzone, UAC's executive director, noted that this community includes a growing senior population. UAC's service area includes service to Arbor Terrace Exton, a senior living community offering personal and memory care, as well as a Bridges neighborhood that eases the transition from personal care to more comprehensive dementia care. The community is owned by CSH and is one of more than 40 independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities operated by The Arbor Company.
