Vision Resources of Central Pennsylvania (VROCP) will host its annual Vision Bowl, a low vision awareness event. The event will take place on Monday, July 18, at ABC East Lanes, 1001 Eisenhower Blvd., Harrisburg, at 6 p.m.
Following a friendly warm-up game, along with some refreshments and humor between teams, the real challenge of the competition will begin. During the second game, bowlers will be required to wear one of four special lightweight eyeglasses that replicate various vision impairments. This test of alley skills will determine the individual and team trophy winners.
Competitors must bowl in teams of four. The team entry fee includes the two games, shoe rental, a T-shirt, and refreshments. A portion of each fee supports the mission of VROCP.
